I think it's a DVP NS415..Is this unit capable of playing digital audio cd's or do I need an upper end unit..I try to tell people not to buy me equipement until I do the research but it's the thought that counts I guess..Me and my new K-horns await your response..... By digital audio CDs, I'm guessing you mean SACD, the high resolution successor to normal audio CDs (similar to the new mult-channel DVD-audio format)? If that's what you mean, then the answer is no. If you're just asking about a plain old CD...well, I've never heard of a DVD player that couldn't play a regular audio CD, and the specs show that the DVP-NS415 will play audio recorded on CD-R/W as well as mp3 files.
