sheltie dave
Hey everyone, I have a question regarding how to power a set of La Scalas and Belles(both sets are cast horns), and a KP-480 subwoofer, with a spending limit of $500 on the amp(s). I currently have a Crown Power Line Four amp, a Nak 410 preamp, a spare Apt Holman preamp, a HK 430 on the way, and a yen to pick up a pair of Dynaco MK3 monoblocs. I don't have a home theater yet, and am not too eager to get a do-it-all receiver. Is there a convenient and simple way to get a single setup for the two sets and subwoofer without l-pads and/or biamping, that would also allow me to split the system to use on seperate floors when I want? We have a seven week old son that loves Vivaldi and Simon and Garfunkel, but some of the esoteric jazz and heavier rock is not his cup of tea, so the basement will be my preserve fo the subwoofer and La Scalas. Cheers
jt1stcav
Check out www.partsexpress.com for a device that may possibly split your system for two rooms, if one does exist.
