pretzel
hey just wondering what the surround volume knob on the speakers should be set at? what does it actually do? i have my surround knob at halfway right now (12o'clock) thanks
Bohemian_Rhapsody
The surround volume knob is used to balance the output of sound from the front and rear sats. At 12'o clock you should get equal sound from the front and the rear sats.
InnovaZero
Yeah, I usually have it set to around 12-2 O' clock, depends. I never have it set any higher then that in my bedroom because of how small it is (not super small, but small enough), the sound gets bright at super high levels, example Pearl Harbor. However I set this up in a bigger room, I have no problems and set the surrounds higher, but only cause the speakers have a little more room to breath, little reflections. kd5ftn
I leave my surround at around 12:00, any thing higher gives me clipping on the rear tweeters at high volumes (Should I get this checked out?)
InnovaZero
Yeah I would, because I've never experence any of the tweeters having problems, even with surround at max on higher volumes. Klipsch speakers are one of the few speakers in Multimedia that can accually handle 20khz.
lancestorm
I've always kept mine at the 12 o'clock position and at this level everything sounds great!
