middlecreekguy
I just recently got Metal Of Honor and cannot play it unless I have the CD-Rom in my drive. This is the only game I own that is this way. Why? Can I transfer it to my harddrive like my other games?

pinipig523
yeah, u need a no-cd hack. problem with the no-cd hack is that u need to download a NEW no-cd hack everytime u install a patch to the game. so just keep that in mind.
middlecreekguy
Sounds like more trouble than it`s worth. How much performance do I lose by having to use the disc?
HannibalLecter
Im not sure what effect it has on performance. I use it so i dont have to keep taking my cds in and out to play different games. It also prevents anything from happening to my cds since sometimes im lazy and just leave them lying out.
Wintermute
Every game I have ever played needs the CD in the drive: Half-Life, MOHAA, NOLF, Return to Wolfenstein, Deus Ex, Age of Mythology, Age of Empires, etc. I thought it was standard and indeed a necessary element of the games. Is this not so? Thanks for any info. Cheers, Wintermute
middlecreekguy
With my Wolfenstein game I do not need the disc in the drive. As a matter of fact I was not aware that any game needed this but apparently that is not the case. I wonder why this is? A security copyright issue maybe? Wintermute
Mr. Middle, Have you tried the expansion pack,"Spearhead?" I would like to but I have heard some not so good things about it plus its kind've of expensive for an expansion pack! Just wondering. Cheers, Wintermute
middlecreekguy
Gosh, I guess I`m a little late on a reply. No. I have not tried that expansion pack. I`m still struggling to get through the original. I don`t think it will ever end. At least I hope not.
