roscoedawg
Having trouble with the center channel on my 2095 cutting out at lower volumes. When I crank it up a bit, it kicks back in. Any thoughts? Gracias-
jtkinney
I am not familiar with that model, but my RX-V1 had a problem with the out/in jacks on the back panel. These are the jacks for output to a separate amp, or input from another processor to use the internal amps. Yes it's confusing. Yamaha uses RCA jacks that have an internal shorting pin to normally connect the two sets of jacks together. They used to have a U shaped external connector that did the same thing in the old days. That shorting pin is moved out of the way when you put an RCA plug into it. The shorting pin may have some oxidation on it that is creating a higher resistance path to the amps. At low levels, there is not enough signal getting through. Try inserting a plug into the center channel jacks a couple of times to see if it cleans them up. If that doesn't work, I have no other suggestions. Good luck, and let us know how you come out.
