Huhuru
I have a Fisher KX-200 Amp (thanks to Craig for the restoration}. The 7591 Output Tubes and Output Transformers appear to get hot. Does anyone on this forum have any experience on using a small or medium size fan to keep the amp (I also have a Fisher KM-60 Tuner hooked up) and tuner cool? NOSValves
Alvin, They do get hot all tube amps get hot its normal. Make sure you check that bias with the cool meter on the amp !! It was biased for my wall voltage and your could be higher. A small fan blowing across the tubes and transformer would be fine if you want too. If you want you can set the Bias voltage a needle thickness or two short of the red line and this will cool the amp down some also looking at the meter from the FRONT of the amp the right side of the red line is cooler. Huhuru
Craig Thanks, I knew you would come through. I cleaned the amp up a little with "Stainless Steel Magic." Alvin
