I really didn't think there would be that much difference between my old cd player and the separates, but I am impressed. It's a noticeable difference. The Denon seems like a really well built piece, and it looks nice too, like a serious piece of equipment. It weighs 26 lbs.! I'm going to be selling the MSB DAC though because I just bought a MSB DAC with factory full nelson, upgraded upsampling, upgraded HDCD card, and P1000 power base, used on ebay for $561. I think I did pretty good with that, as long as it works. It will be fun to hear the difference with the upgrades and compare to the original MSB DAC.
