CaptnBob
I'm about to start my retrofit my 1992 La Scalas. I've got the spring-loaded K-55s, a pair of Type AA crossovers (compared to the ALs in the speakers now, they sure aren't very "busy"...) and my screwdriver to disconnect the zenier diode. I'm going to leave the K-55ms alone, as there doesn't seem to be that big a difference, and besides they're hard to get to. Anything I'm forgetting? Thanks
bkrop
Brackets to support the weight of a metal horn if that is what you are retrofitting!
JohnA
Capt'n, The K-77-M was used with the Type AA, so, if you change just the crossover and the K-55s, then they will be correct for the '78 or '79 to 'early '80 configuration.
CaptnBob
Thanks, guys, I'm pretty sure the horn is metal already - in any event, it does have a support bracket in the back right by the driver. The La Scalas may be slightly older than I thought - I haven't run the serial numbers to check. I still can't get over the way the AA crossover has hardly any parts compared to the AL. I guess "Less is More."
JohnA
In this case, it is. You'll hear!
