Was able to get my Academy WO at $360.00 plus tax at Custom Audio in Little Rock, AR., one of PWK's hangouts. I'm glad to see that my Academy is at least worth what I pauid for it, almost twice as much!!! Don't know what I'm going to do with it now since I have the ultimate center for my K'horns, a Bell WO!!! I wonder what a pair of Forte IIs and a matching Academy would go for???? If you decide you want to sell them I may be interested,as im always looking for nice heritage speakers(you can never have enough heritage speakers LOL). I never knew how much the Academy sold for untill recently, or even how much it sold for new. I aquired my(Academy) in a package deal in Germany(Army Wheelin and Dealing). 2 Chorus IIs(med oak), Academy(med oak), Denon PRA-1500 preamp/POA-2400 amp for $2300.00 back in 94.
