skonopa
Well, the weather here is really starting to get interesting - winds have been pretty much sustained at 30 mph with 50 mph gusts - and it is only going to get worst! This apple tree right on the border of my neighbors and my yard is one of the first casualies: I'll try to keep you all posted as long as I have power and a connection. skonopa
Damn! The pear tree bought it also! That royally sucks - those were some good pears! I loved eating them while mowing the lawn!
skonopa
A second shot of that pear tree - looks like me and my neighbor is going to have a cleanup project on our hands this weekend .
skonopa
Looks like the lilac bush in front of my house took a nose dive also - which also royally sucks - that was a beautiful bush, especially in full bloom during the spring time (and it smelled so nice also). m00n
When the storm is over, can't you just prop them back up with a 2x4 or something?

No 2x4s is going to save those trees!
skonopa
Here is a shot from my back deck just showing the wind and rain. You could probably see where that big tree lost a branch.
m00n
Well, take it as a lesson learned. brase them up prior to the storm next time.

But still suck they went down, since we both pretty much shared the fruit off of them. But now they are laying in my yard . It looks like that we both will be cleaning that up also. skonopa
Mike! That is a cool picture! Is that the very edge of the hurricane? Looks like it is quite a ways in the distance - amazing how far you can see while out on the open ocean.

PAR69
Skonopa, glad to hear you are still safe. I just hope you have a chainsaw At least you'll get some good BBQ firewood from the trees. Mike- awesome picture. That has to be one of the best pictures of a hurricane I have ever seen. bkrop
It does look odd with the gap between the clouds and water. What are you not telling us Clu? BTW: hope the gerbil generator works out!

cluless
Actually it doesn't even look like a hurricane. It looks like a F-87 tornado.
