CO1 Posted September 19, 2003 Share Posted September 19, 2003 I'm still waiting to receive my Reference Sats but just based on specs alone the Reference Sats are a better speaker. I also have the big Reference speakers, a Synergy System 6 with better sub, ProMedia 4.1 and a fourth 5.1 system that I won't bother to mention because my wife made the decision on purchasing it. The speakers in the System 6 are also much better than the Quintets and would be a good alternative if the Reference Sats are too expensive. Personally I would not get a KSW-10 as there are other brands in the same price range with better performance. I'm not saying the Quintets are crap I'm just saying the other two systems are better. avman Posted September 20, 2003 Share Posted September 20, 2003 i can tell you from first hand experience...the ref sats are AWESOME!!! i was expecting alot, and the ref sat's exceded my high expectations. unfreakin'beleivable performance-no kidding!! i hooked them up to a yammy rxv 3300 and a 15"fosgate sub...exceptional performance!! very detailed, and can play great from moderate to REALLY loud!!i would recommend the rw 10 for the small sats, and the rw 12 for the larger sats. av.
