DMF
I've got the Forte's and an Academy up front. I'm migrating (slowly) from 2-ch to HT. My "surrounds" are Quintets, which provide ambience, but not much else. (They do sound a *lot* better than the cheesy little KLHs that were my first try.) The LW (lusty wench) has agreed to do a room re-orientation for the HT. (We were set up sideways. Now the TV will go on a short wall.) That means that I have a place for rear surrounds, so I have to buy at least 2 new speakers. Might as well make it four. What wall-mounted surrounds are a decent sonic match to the Forte's and Academy?
chuckears
I am running RS-3's with my Forte\Academy setup. They workd nicely for me, but I would prefer the RS-7's, if I only had the space for them. There has been only one incident when I could determine timbre mis-match between the RS's and the Heritage front soundstage. It was recently, somewhere in Matrix Reloaded, when sound panned from the right rear to the left center. Otherwise, I'm pretty happy with the setup.
