98_1LE Posted November 15, 2003 Share Posted November 15, 2003 I recently swapped my older Pioneer DVD player for a Samsung DVD/VCR combo player. I mainly wanted progressive scan. Anyway, from time to time the sound will skip, or go quiet for a brief moment, nut only during Dolby Digital playback. DTS, Pro-Logic, or stereo do not have this problem. I am using the optical output and input. I swapped back the old DVD player and it worked fine (also using the optical cable). I suspect there is a problem with the Samsung, but want to make sure I did everything correctly before I exchange it. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
