maxg
these are the tubes in use in my Pre-amp (Decware ZTPRE). I'm thinking of getting a couple of spares (just in case). I've found real cheap ones (about $4 per). Just wondering if there is some specific brand I should be looking for? Alternatives? Etc. Etc. Deang
Cheap ones are fine. In fact, I think they are all relatively inexpensive as there are no shortage of them.
mopar dave
maxg, i use the same tubes in my audcom. mine are used as fase spliters. i'v heard svetlana makes a good one. another would be sovtec 6h1n, same tube. dave
maxg
Thanks both of you - looks like I will go the Svetlana route (recommended by the manufacturer anyway). Cheers
JBasham
Hi. I have been rolling 6N1P tubes lately. The older ones sold as 6n1p-EB or -EV, or sometimes 6HP-EB or -EV, sound a lot better. Hard to find sometimes; usually cost about $7 each. Worth scrounging for.
