caz1604
I am seeking some advice on a replacement for my current receiver. Current system: Sony STRDA7ES Receiver Sony 65WS510 HDTV Sony Progressive Scan DVD 2 x Klipsch RF-35 Klipsch RC-35 4 x Klipsch RS-35 Klipsch RSW-10 Monster M-Series 1000 Component Video Cable Monster M-Series 1000 Sub Cable Monster M-Series 1000 Fiber Optic Cable Monster M-Series 1000 Digital Coax Cable Monster M-Series 500 DVI Cable (1000 not avail, ordered) I did not have any complaints until Bjorn's Audio @ San Antonio invited me to a special Yamaha exclusive presentation of their new RZ-9 Receiver. (1 of 4 stops in the US) It was a spectacular receiver that was actually very very user friendly. However, let me point out that I do not have $4500.00 to drop on a receiver. Can anyone recommend a receiver for my speaker set-up that would give me a better sound than my current Sony 7ES? My budget is about $2200.00. Maybe I am just overreacting after hearing the RZ-9, so if you think the Sony 7ES is sufficient, please let me know as well. Thank you in advance for any help... dodger
Hello: Sit down and close your eyes with a favorite CD on, then go to HT again, let nothing distract you. Try to approximate the same volume. You will answer your own question. Not being wise, but to drop money you have to receive a very good return sonically. dodger
