Chris Robinson
Jim, the Cornwall II's went last night for $1K +. I had gone down to RI last week to look them over and give them a listen and they were fabulous. Came home and lit mine up and thought they sounded pretty great too. Finally decided that I'll keep mine, clean them up, put a pair of Al's crossovers in them, and enjoy them for the next 30 years (if I'm lucky). They WILL be making somebody VERY happy! ------------------ Denon AVR-4800 McIntosh MC-2105 (Fronts) Toshiba SD-3109 DVD Klipsch Cornwall I's (LF/RF) Belle Klipsch (Center) Klipsch Heresy (RR/LR) Klipsch KSW-12 sub
Jim Cornell
Chris: Tell me, did you think there was a difference in sound! I thought the price was a bit high, as i would of needed them sent on top of that, would of been about 1,500.00 WOW!! The old cornwalls, and ours have the same basic drivers , as far as i see it! The 1971 cornwall 2s would be 18 years older than the ones i have now, so now i know ill get 18 more years out of mine LOL!! Mine to, need a little touchup work, ive been glueing the lamination on one pair here and there, and down the road, im ganna refinish both pair to match, and get another set of black grills, for these cane set!! How are yours, not to bad? Ive been behaving myself, cranking these up! Man what sound at 10 watts each, 40 total! Well, hope they enjoy the older pair, have fun fixing yours up!
