Tenhet
I am looking to upgrade my center channel from a KG1.2v. I have Quartets for fronts and the suggested match from Klipsch is an Academy for center channel but as luck would have it, they haven't been produced since '96. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Would like to stay with Klipsch, but would consider another brand (currently I have a Paradigm CC-350 out on demo). The sensitivity of the Quartets is 97.5dB. --------------- Front - Quartets Rear - Optimus (haha) Center - KG 1.2V Receiver - Marantz SR-680(upgraded from Denon AVR810) CD - Denon DCM-320 Tape - Denon DRW-850 MD - Sony MDS-JE330 DVD - not yet - open to suggestions!! myram
Well here are your options in order of preference - 1 - Single Quartet 2 - Acadamy center 3 - KV3 or KV4 4 - KLF-C7 5 - RC-3 I am using a KV3 with great results, the sensitivity of the KV3 and teh Quartets are really close and the tone and timber is a great match also. www.ebay.com will be your best bet to find option 1,2 or 3.....there is a KV3 on there right now for around $110. Good Luck, Steve ------------------ Home Theater System: Klipsch Quartets - mains for both systems Klipsch KV3 - center Klipsch KG.5's - rear surrounds Klipsch KSW12 subwoofer Denon AVR-1601 Music System: Adcom GFA-555 Musical Concepts Modified NAD 1600 Pre/Tuner Sony C-67ES CD Player
