overboosted
Just got my RC-35 to match my Rf-35s and RS-35s. With my Harman Kardon receiver, I haver to set the center -4DB lower than the rest to even it out. Isn't the reason of buying matched speaker so that you dont have to do this?? All sorts of other factors play into the level matching - placement of all three front speakers, room issues and the way the amplifier is calibrated. That is the reason you have the ability in the reciever to set channel levels independently. If it sounds right to you all should be OK. MarkBK
Well said Henrey. Look at the efficiency rating of the speakers - variations will pretty much predict what will be adjusted to match output levels. The timber match is most important for tonal balance - e.g when someone walks across the room in movie - timbre matching will insure it sounds natural with no change in tone. ygmn
Did you use a SPL meter?
