rpittman
Saw a blurb in McPaper (USA Today) that the extended (re-release) versions of the original trilogy are supposed to be released on DVD on 9/21.
mineral
yep, it'll be 4 dvds. 3 for the movies, and a 4th that included 'the most comprehensive' documentary about the series, packaged with lots of behinds the scenes extras. i think they should have released the originals, minus that extra crap they added back in '97. i was never partial on that music number by that cgi creature in return of the jedi..i had to look away it was so embarassing. dblue
I agree...I won't watch Spec.edition Jedi because that scene sucks so bad. Also, not too happy with the Jabba scene in Star Wars....stupid and looked like crap.
damonrpayne
I hate to say it, but laserdisc rips from China is probably your only option to see the originals in digital form. Lucas is one of the most arrogant hollywood types I've ever heard of.
