Svs sub and outlet....

Due to where I placed my svs sub the cord wont reach my monster powerbar. So I just plugged it in the wall. I guess I could use an extension cord, but it will be a pain to snake it around the back of the ent center. Am I asking for trouble, without it on a surge?

I have the same situation. Both Monster and Panamax make surge protectors to handle this situation.

They have sub specific ones:

I figured that since my receiver was already protected, I didn't need the sub cable protection, so I bought this one below. Using froogle, I found it for about $23.
