I notice lately on Fox movie network or whatever it is called...they have been showing some silent movies from the 20's.....

very cool...not much for the sound system...but really interesting to see how far the movies have come.....kinda getting back to basics....not a real test of any equipment per say...hehehe

Cyrano De Bergerac(Spelling?) was on Sunday...very cool french and english subtitles.....

Funny you should mention that, I watched Fritz Lang's 1927 film Metropolis last night. It's a different experience, I'll say that. I found myself having to pay closer attention to the movie since in the absence of dialogue, visual gestures and body language take on a much more critical role in communication. It had a 5.1 orchestral score as background music so it wasn't really totally silent. The movie was interesting and I enjoyed it fairly well.
