LARMAN1
I HAVE A SITUATION THAT I NEED TO RESOLVLE....CHOSING BETWEEN 2 SETUPS: I ALREADY HAVE A DENON AVR1804 AMP I ALREADY HAVE SYNERGY SC-1 I ALREADY HAVE SYNERGY SW-12 I NEED HELP DECIDING WHICH SETUP WOULD WORK BETTER FOR ME. I HAVE A RELATIVELY SMALL ROOM (11 x 15?). I LIKE TO LISTEN LOUD (VERY LOUD SOMETIMES). ABOUT 50/50 FOR MUSIC AND MOVIES. 1)PURCHASE (2) SB-3 FOR THE FRONTS PURCHASE (2) SS-1 FOR THE REARS OR 2)PURCHASE (2) SB-2 FOR THE FRONTS PURCHASE (2) SS-.5 FOR THE REARS MY QUESTION / SITUATION IS THIS: I DON'T LIKE THE 50w LIMITATION OF THE SMALLER SS.5's. MY AMP IS PRETTY GOOD AND THE SENSITIVITY OF THE SPEAKERS ARE GOOD....WILL IT BE LOUD ENOUGH? WILL I HAVE ENOUGH BASS? OR SHOULD I GO WITH "BIGGER IS BETTER" THEORY? HELP!!!!..... I ALSO HAVE LIMITED SPACE IN WHICH TO WORK AND BOTH COMDOS ARE IN MY PRICE RANGE. ANY AND ALL IMPUT APPRECIATED.
wheelman
Go with the sf-2 i know you didn't ask for them, but they will actually take up less space than a standmount speaker unless of course your putting them in an entertainmet center. The sf-2 sound great and they crank especailly for dvd concerts. That's why i love them and they do crank with a denon 1801. Scary loud without distortion before your head explodes. My room is 12 by 22 but i sit like 8 foot from mine. ( welcome to the forum)
