arena
my friend has a vintage wurlitzer organ, but the 16 ohm speakers were buzzing so he bought some replacements that are the same size but are 8 ohm. the speakers will still work right? my understanding is that you wouldn't want to replace 8 ohm speakers with 16 ohm but doing it the other way is acceptable. is this correct? ygmn
depends on the wurlitzer amp.... Cause the lower impendance may force the amp to put out morfe amps then it can...and well pop hopefully a fuse....or it could burn out
WMcD
It may be that the W amps have output taps on the transformere (if it is tube unit) and that there is an 8 ohm tap which you can switch over to. Gil
