wildhare
I have a sw-15 sub and the passive radiator voice coil has come loose a little bit and was wondering if you can glue it so that it wont vibrate any more and if you can what type of glue to use. Or do I need to get new passive rad?
TheEAR
First the PR has no voice coil, its a guide(for linearity). And second you can use glue thatv retains some elasticity after it hardens, these glues come in tubes or in small bottles with a tiny brush to apply the glue. best glue is the type used on leather/plastics.No ceramic or metal Since its a PR the weight added by the glue is not of any concern,as long as you apply in the proper place and make sure both parts do not move. After 12-24Hrs it should be A ok.
