companion Posted April 10, 2004 Share Posted April 10, 2004 Ear or anyone else what is the best sub for under 800 i want real good bass for music mostly rock and some rap hip hop and jazz size is no issue i was thinking about the 25-31 pc+ have you ever heard it? or know if it is worth the money? TheEAR Posted April 11, 2004 Share Posted April 11, 2004 In the best bang for the buck,you have SVS,HSU,Paradigm(PW2200 Ver3)and I would add Outlaw. If you want the most bass per $,the PB2-ISD($899) is worth the extra $100.If you have ton remain under $800 i would consider the HSU VTF3II. Another option is to get one Outlaw LFM-1,two units go for $1000! That is a might great alternative to the PB2-ISD. These are the best non DIY subwoofer values today. Definitive hype machine is full of hot air,with SVS,HSU(count the Dr Hsu designed Outlaw LFM-1)and Paradigm there is little need for the hyped up Powerfield 15 inchers that fail poorly against solid 12 inch equipped subs.
