coronaspect
Looking for advice from anyone with experience in shielding Heresys, or LS's, for use near a TV or as a center Channel? I would like to hear from everyone out there how they use LS's or heresys for center channels, how you have them arranged. Just want to get an idea of some of the Heritage HT setups out there. Pics would be great also!
thebes
Welcome to the forum. You'll like it here. Don't have the Heresy's but you might try doing a search in the upper right-hand corner. I do know that many on this site have modified various Klipsch's as centers and it usually involves the purchase of something called "buck Magnets" (available at PartsExpress.com) and gluing them to the rears of your horns and tweeters so they don't warp the top of picture tube (if placed on top of tv). If you don't get some expert replies in a day or two try reposting the question in the Upgrading Older Speakers area.
soundog
My old Klipschorns, LaScalas & Heresys don't need shielding. I beleive it has something to do with the Alnico magnets. I'm sure someone will jump in here and refresh my memory as to why they don't need sheilding.

coronaspect
As stated before, I have been "schooled" in shielding...I have found that my early heresys and my 78 La Scalas won't be a problem due to the Alinco magnets., my 85 heresys will do nicely in the backround...
