minn_male42 Posted April 24, 2004 Share Posted April 24, 2004 two possibilities.... there are some two channel sacd's..... or..... you can select what layer you want to listen to.... alot of sacd's are compatible with regular cd players.... you might be getting the cd layer instead of the sacd layer..... look through the manual for your pioneer player.... I think its like you said....some are two channel and some are surround....my miles davis dvd audio cd says it plays in advanced resolution surround, advanced resolution stereo, and dvd video compatible dolby digital...my aerosmith sacd just says stereo on the bottom of it.
