TheEAR Posted May 4, 2004 Share Posted May 4, 2004 The only JBL sub I can speak of,the Ti-K Sub is a superb unit.The unit had amp problems and does not even figure on JBL's page.Both refined and powerful this sub is a $5000 marvel.Similar in looks to the Paradigm Servo Signature! prodj101 Posted May 4, 2004 Share Posted May 4, 2004 I have a PB-12 that I use in my home theatre, it does the job and can keep up with the SF-2's SC-1 and SF-1's just fine....it's good enough in my book, though they are plagued with amplifier problems. I think JBL stuff in that price range is better that synergy buy still not reference. JBL makes GREAT things but not at that price range IMO just like the synergy stuff. FlyingV Posted May 12, 2004 Share Posted May 12, 2004 I purchased a PB12 for my wife & kid's HT a while back. The amplifier died within the first couple hours of use. I had some trouble getting the warrantee work done because I didn't purchase from this "authorized" dealer... I took almost 2 months to get repaired and I was told that the next time it would be at my cost. However, it has worked fine ever since. It does a fairly nice job of filling the room and seems to have enough adjustability. I honestly haven't evaluated its tone quality and/or accuracy.
