garymd Posted May 26, 2004 Share Posted May 26, 2004 I picked up The Dead's new CD today, "Rockin' The Rhein." It's another album from that infamous 1972 tour. It's a 3-CD set in Rhino HDCD and is excellent from what I've heard so far. It's at least the 3rd they've produced from that tour, another being "Hundred Year Haul" which came out in the late 90s. Nobody in the crowd speaks English and Phil starts telling bad jokes. Hard to forget that. I only had 1 set on tape so this is great, not to mention the recording quality.
