If you do, Bob Crites has some nice capacitors for you.

I just received the following in an email from Bob, and these numbers are in line with the numbers he has received on most of the old cans he has tested to date.

"...test results for a set of AA crossovers that I am rebuilding for a customer. All caps are Aerovox oil filled.

#1 Xover

(a) 2uF

C= 1.857 uF

D= 0.010

ESR= 0.926 ohms

(B) 2 uF

C= 1.856 uF

D= 0.010

ESR= 0.900 ohms

13 uF

C= 12.74 uF

D= 0.013

ESR= 0.170 ohms

#2 Xover

(a) 2uF

C= 1.886 uF

D= 0.010

ESR= 1.145 ohms

(B) 2 uF

C= 1.853 uF

D= 0.010

ESR= 0.874 ohms

13 uF

C= 12.95 uF

D= 0.012

ESR= 0.148 ohms
