bloodeye2000
Is the subwoofer cone of the PM4.1 meant to face an enclosed corner (i.e. wall for more reverberation) or is it just as good to have the cone facing openly ? Thanks. ------------------ //Nick
Paragon
One of teh best places for bas enlargmenet is to set the sub in a corner with the port facing to the center of the room. This way, the sound waves from each driver will bounce off the wall toward the center. However, it is best to just try different placements yourself and see what you like the sound of better. justin_tx_16
the corner worked best for me. teh only problem was that i needed 10 feet more cable to my rear speaker so now it sits on my wall... still works great... when the new 5.1 is out i am getting that so that i can set it up right... i have a whole bunch of 14 guage wire ready for it! whoo hoo ------------------ -justin http://www.fortunecity.com/campus/berry/88/
farout
Here's a little trick I learned, place the sub where you are going to sit then walk around the room until you find the "sweetspot" this will mark the place where you should put the sub. Hope this helps.
Paragon
I just place my sub wherever I can. It has enough bass to please me so I am not too worried about placement ------------------ 1GHz TBird Abit KT7A-RAID Kingmax 256MB PC150 256MB PC133 Infinion Annihilator2 32MB GT§ Intel Pro100+Management NIC Promise Ultra100 IBM 75GXP 45GB ATA100 Maxtor DMP6800 27.2GB ATA66 Plextor 16X10X40A §ony 12X DVD §BLive! 5.1 AOpen HX08 Full Tower 300W §ony CPD-G400 19" Triny ProMedia 4.
