dave97
I just picked up a pair of Heresy II's that are a 4 Ohm version according to the nameplate on the back of the speaker. Can anyone tell me if these will be OK to hook up to my HT receiver as surrounds without causing any problems? All my other speakers are 8 ohm, hopefully these won't adversely impact my Pioneer Elite txi55..... I have done some reading here on the forum and it doesnt appear that it would cause any problems, just thought I'd double-check with all the experts here! Thanks, Dave
itsmyforte
should be able to select speaker impedance setting on the receiver. you will be fine using those.
Steve W. Bailey
You should have no difficulty in using these with your system. Current production of the Heresy II's are 8 ohms nominal.
J.4knee
I communicated with Trey about this very impedance issue on Heresy II's. They are a 4 ohm minimum, not 4 ohm nominal, they are considered to be 8 ohms nominal. As the frequency varies the impedance will to a degree as well. I use my 86 Heresy IIs for surrounds with no problem. I would not sweat it.
