Pround New Papa of Cornwalls needs Date of Birth

Greetings,

about 9 months ago, at the recommendation of board members here, I started bidding for Cornwalls on Ebay. Just about any decent looking pair within driving distance got my low ball bid. And what do you know - I finally won! I pick up the CBRs tomorrow. The serial numbers are 30W067 & 30W068. Can anyone tell me the vintage for my new babies?

I searched the archives to no avail.

Thanks,

TommyK

The Cornwalls will go head to head against my Hartley Holton As (full range v front loaded horn) in a sound-off over the next month to see who gets pole position in the family / listening salon. I will drive them with EL 34 PP amp by Signature Technologies with the matching Proteus Preamp. I will also be swapping in Bottlehead Parabee 300B sets with Foreplay Pre - though I am worried about gain with the added efficiency of the Cornwalls. If anyone is in Northern New Jersey and wants to come by for listen - give me a holler.

Hey Tommy!

Welcome to the world of Klipsch. As a brother Cornwall lover, I like to give all new owners this little article to read (ok, its a little lengthy). In a nutshell, this group put the mighty Cornwall through its paces and proclaimed it one of the most accurate, efficient, cleanest speakers EVER designed.

Enjoy the reading and the tunes!

Stay tuned, I'm currently compiling a list of Cornwall modifications (see mods forum).
