rjb294
A friend of mine has a low grade SONY sub that just has a speaker wire connection on it. I do not think it is a powered sub. My friend also has Denon 2801 receiver. Is there any way to hook the sub to the sub out on the receiver? Any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks.... Scp53
get a real sub. if its an unpowered sony its probably junk. even there powered subs are bad. they have a freq hump so its not flat. don't take offense to this. and if you still want to hook it up, unless there is a powered output(subwoofer speaker terminals: + and -) from the receiver than your SOL. you could use a cheap amp laying around plug it into the sub out(rca -LFE out) and hook the amp up to the sub.just a thought scp53
