Speaker cables...

I plan on using Monster Cable XP speaker wires as a replacement of the stock wires.

When I went to Circuit City to check it out, the Monster Cable XP wire wouldn't fit through the hole of RadioShack's 274-868 plug.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should do?

yeah, i had the same problem. make sure you take off the spring thingy, you don't need it. and then strip a couple inches of the outside off the wires, and then recover them with electrical tape. it will be much thinner and the electrical tape will protect them just fine.

yeah i tihnk that i was the firt person to mod my cable, like a year and a half ago for my speaks (i could be wrong) what i did is just take off all that superfluos radio crap stuff and solder the wires to the respective ends...then wrap the with electrical wire so they areinsulated...there you go...all done.
