Kevmosmith
89 LSFB La Scala's with stock AA crossovers, original drivers k-33, k55m and k77m. Driven by tube amps mainly. I thought I would list here before I make other efforts to sell. Work perfectly, sound wonderful and are in good condition with some minor cosmetic scratches. They have been waxed with furniture wax and have a finish that is kind of like a black piano. For pick up or I may help deliver within an hours drive of Houston under the right conditions. We all have a pretty good idea of the value of these. I will be fair on the price for forum members and ask that you be the same. I would like to get close to market value and am not in a great hurry to sell. These do not have the grills. Please email me if interested and I will get some pictures and serial numbers up in the next few days. I have had these for a little over a year, bought them from a forum member who has become a friend and the only reason I am selling is I have replaced them with the raw birch la scalas. I can handle two big speakers in a small house, but not four. Thanks Kevin

drewg01
I am a lascala freak. My buddy and restored a pair and I left them with him.Now I want a pair for me!Shipping is my concern.I live in northern british columbia.I have not found an affordable way to get a purchase of these fine speakers up to me.I am willing to pay market price. So far every time I add up shipping and speakers, the rf-7s at the store down the street are cheaper.Any suggestions to a heritage freak? Chris Robinson
Hi Drew, welcome to the Forum. There is an outfit that will palletize and ship them that the guys use on the board here. Just can't remember their name ... something like "Forward Air" ... They're reasonable and fast (~ $250). Forget normal shippers like UPS ... They'll deliver speaker parts by the time they get to you up north! _______________________________ Music Hall MMF-7 Turntable w/ Goldring Eroica H MC Njoe Tjoeb 4000 CDP with 24 bit/192 KHz Upsampling Wright Sound WPP-100C Phono Stage JF Lessard Pantheon 6SN7 SRPP Preamp w/ RCA 5R4GY & Sylvania 6SN7 JF Lessard Horus Parafeed Cobalt 2A3 Monoblocks w/ Tung Sol 5687 & AVVT 2A3 1976 KCBR Klipschorns with ALK Crossovers Gear Online: Two Channel & Home Theater Systems

MagicMtnDan
Who paints these things black and why? That's at least the 2nd set of LaScalas I've seen for sale here that have had their wood painted black. Sad. In my opinion the black ones either have to be used as they are or they're candidates for refinishing (not a job for the timid). At least they sound great! Kevmosmith
Dear forum viewers, The pictures did turn out a lot harsher than they look in real life. These are a factory black finish and were never repainted, just waxed. Kevin
