RM1111
Hello all. I just hooked up my receiver and turned it on to test it out.after 30 sec or so the receiver will turn back into standby mode. Don't know what could be the problem and the support for HK isn't open until monday. All my equipment is plugged into a monster ht 700 surge protector for now, until I can get some money after the holidays.
ironwoods
Hi, is this a newly added unit, or a new problem with an existing one?
RM1111
its a new unit
tgourlie
Be sure all speaker connections are clean. both at reciever and at speaker. If there is a short in the connection it will send the unit into protection.
ironwoods
Bought locally? Wires in good shape? In the 30 second span, does everthing sound OK? What will you do with all that money after the holiday's?
Bill H.
RM1111 You should also check, to ensure the speakers are connected correctly....i.e. black to black, and red to red.........(hope this makes sense.) Good Luck!
RM1111
Hey guys, thxs for the info. I checked the wires and everything looks good. I just brought new wire. I ordered the receiver online. I just sent it back and now am waiting for a new one. I got it at J&R, so, its an authorized dealer.
