Surround Preamp

You could probably get a nice Sony TA-E1000ES or TA-E2000ES on ebay for a couple hundred or less. Pretty much any pre-pro you look at in that price range though, is gonna be 5.1 only, and be without multi-channel analog inputs. But, if those things aren't an issue, you would probably get on just fine. I've also seen a nice Marantz (9500?) go pretty reasonably.

NAD 2200's for amps, going to heresy II's for now, k-horns soon enough. The fisher price model that I looked at was a little complex. Each button was a different color, I would have liked to see a little more uniform design and operation.

thanks for having a sense of humor!!

in your case id look for a good used reciever that has pre outs.

that way you will be able to power the center channel.

you may need to think about spending more than 200 smacks to get what you want.

good luck
