WMcD
While looking for something else, I ran across the attached (below) article and exchange of letters. We've all seen the information before and this seems to be the first publication of it. Gil

DRBILL
Paul could be a Bulldog. But I never saw him angry. He would smile crookedly, and then painstakingly take your clock apart. DR BILL
DrWho
That was hilarious. I wonder what the one dude's reply was to PWK's second remarks...It seems like there was some confusion as to the distortions in questions (frequency intermodulation and harmonic distortions). Whenever I read articles like this it always gets me thinking of ways to predict the distortion and then prevent them from happening. We can't even get past the prediction stage... 3dzapper
Mr Hartley made loudspeakers in competition with Klipsch. The most famous the Concertmaster line, one of which had a 24" woofer and multiple tweeter array. I have a friend who has a pair. We've had a rivalry over the two brands for over twenty five years. The last time he was over, I played the Khorns with the Wrights and he sat there in awe and said " I almost bought Klipschorns" (in '76) in a lamenting way. I 'ed inside! After all these years of agate smashing, the truth came out!! Rick
