CD player upgrade on the cheap - which one??

OK - I'm loving the new RF-7s mated with the Mac 2125 and C-26. BUT - the cd player I'm using in this two-channel system is a 15-year old Sony 5-disc relic. I want to upgrade this weekend, but I need to do it on the cheap (I'm definately pushing WAF with the purchase of Denon/Klipsch HT system at Thanksgiving and RF-7s at Christmas!!). So, two questions:

1. Will I hear an audible difference over the old cd player even with a cheap player; and

2. What do you recommend for a new cd player under $200?

As ususal, thanks for your help in dragging me into the modern age of audio.

Bill,

This looks like a great deal. Replace the power supply cap with a $25 Black Gate, and you'll be in sonic heaven.

Search for LeoK's post about modding this cap. Easy to do (I watched him do mine) and well worth it.
