BillH2121
OK - I'm loving the new RF-7s mated with the Mac 2125 and C-26. BUT - the cd player I'm using in this two-channel system is a 15-year old Sony 5-disc relic. I want to upgrade this weekend, but I need to do it on the cheap (I'm definately pushing WAF with the purchase of Denon/Klipsch HT system at Thanksgiving and RF-7s at Christmas!!). So, two questions: 1. Will I hear an audible difference over the old cd player even with a cheap player; and 2. What do you recommend for a new cd player under $200? As ususal, thanks for your help in dragging me into the modern age of audio.

Chris Robinson
Bill, http://cls.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cls.pl?homevdeo&1109893755 This looks like a great deal. Replace the power supply cap with a $25 Black Gate, and you'll be in sonic heaven. Search for LeoK's post about modding this cap. Easy to do (I watched him do mine) and well worth it. _______________________________ Music Hall MMF-7 Turntable w/ Goldring Eroica H MC Njoe Tjoeb 4000 CDP with 24 bit/192 KHz Upsampling Wright Sound WPP-100C Phono Stage JF Lessard Pantheon 6SN7 SRPP Preamp w/ RCA 5R4GY & Sylvania 6SN7 JF Lessard Horus Parafeed Cobalt 2A3 SET Monoblocks w/ Tung Sol 5687 & AVVT 2A3 1976 KCBR Klipschorns with ALK Crossovers Gear Online: Two Channel & Home Theater Systems
