Kier
I'm getting fed up with the bad Win2000 drivers for my Vortex 2-based card, and I was thinking of grabbing myself a GameTheater XP to sit with my 4.1s, but I've heard that CD audio is only reproduced through the front two speakers on the XP... Does anyone have any suggestions? (Preferably not involving Media Player 7 or hardware mods). Remember that I'm running Win2000, rather than 9x or ME. Thx everyone. DBvader
no, this is not true...the GTXP will take a stereo output and take it to 4 channels...i have one trust me...and with the new Driver release it will to the same thing for 5.1 channels...can wait for that with my 5.1s vader ------------------ BRING ON THE POWER! ZoSo
All you have to do is make sure the "Enable digital CD audio for this CD-Rom device" is checked, under the properties in device manager. I have the Klipsch 4.1's and the GTXP, makes an awesome combo! Oh yeah, make sure you get the latest Win2K drivers(2.02) from Hercules website.
