tdavis
Current sytem is a Yamaha 2095 receiver, KLF 20s as front, KLF c-7 center, KSp s-6s surrounds, Accoustic Research 12" sub (I know I need to upgrade). What speaker settings do you recommend for a 5:1 system. Large or small for the front, center and surrrounds. Sub only or both for the sub. Room is 12x14. Also a sub recommendation. Thanks. CECAA850
THX recomends all set to small and crossover set at 80Hz. Start there and tweak your system till it creates the sound you like. Of course on a Klipsch board you will get the nod for the Reference sub however you can't go wrong with an SVS. Carl
MrMcGoo
I strongly agree with the recommendation to set all your speakers as small once you have a subwoofer. If your budget permits, the Klipsch THX Ultra2 subwoofers are hard to beat. If price is important, then a Klipsch RSW-12 or SVS are options to look at. gcoker
I have experimented both ways (large vs. small) and to be quite honest I could not tell that much of a difference with my system.
