Thanks for the link. I was able to locate the service manual for a pre 1951 Hallicrafters shortwave radio that I was able to pick up free. Part of it is in sad shape, but the power tranny may be of use at some point. It has a couple of 6V6GT tubes for the audio amp section. A 5U4G rect. with very bent pins, a 6SL7GT (one) and a few others that aren't familiar. This thing was built like a tank, as all Hallicrafters radios were. It has more steel in this chassis than my daughters car.
