rvincerob1
I recently had my klf-20's done in Mahogny, they were satin black. Now, they match my 30's. My problem is the guy who did them had an accident and the grill on one of them was damaged. I purchase the cloth for the grills, but when i took the torn cloth off i noticed that klipsch used glue to secure the cloth to the frame. What kind of glue? Would it be better to use staples? Any info on how to do this would be greatly appreciated!
michael hurd
You could use a hot-melt adhesive from a glue gun to secure the fabric, just make sure that you do not get any on your fingers, as it tends to leave a mark.
Frzninvt
I would use some high tack Scotch 77 spray adhesive first, if you have trouble spots then you can use hot melt to secure them. Klipsch I believe used spray adhesive to secure them, you have to follow the instructions because it is easy to over or excessively spray it and make a mess of the grill cloth. It will take some skill to do it correctly and is certainly not for a novice.
