  1. Thanks Bob for your valuable information. I did what you said and changed the tweeter and found out that the tweeter isn't working. So if you have tweeter would you sell me one? If so, how much? i look forward to hearing from you.
  2. 34HZ? You answered your own question. It is perfectly ok to set your receiver to large. The 20's are a stand alone speaker, so there will be no problem with setting to large. I've owned my speakers for 5 yrs now and I've always put them on the large set ting.
  3. []I noticed that i was not getting any sound from my klf-20 tweeter. I took the tweeter out and everything looked good, all the connections were in tact. Does this mean that the tweeter is blown? And if so can i get it repaired or should i buy a new one. I cannot find the part on Klipsch website I love my speakers and would appreciate any information on how i can remedy this sitiuation. Thank You

    2 Subs?

---------------- On 2/27/2005 12:08:50 PM Smokem wrote: I did upgrade to a KSW-10 sub. But I was wondering if I could use the non powered sub as well. ---------------- I would recommend you read your owners manual for your receiver(preamp) before you hook up the second sub to your speaker line out. You might not be able to run a sub from both places at the same time. Either way the Y split is the best way to go for 2 subwoofers.
  5. I recently had my klf-20's done in Mahogny, they were satin black. Now, they match my 30's. My problem is the guy who did them had an accident and the grill on one of them was damaged. I purchase the cloth for the grills, but when i took the torn cloth off i noticed that klipsch used glue to secure the cloth to the frame. What kind of glue? Would it be better to use staples? Any info on how to do this would be greatly appreciated!

    2 Subs?

I agree totally with what The Ear said!

Now normally I would steer you away from Bose Speakers. But they do make a great sounding pair of Headphones.

In the begining I think it was more like 10 hours a day since I work out of a home office. I discovered that even though I am home I ran it a lot. Now I just keep the audio on if I am watching fox news. I realized that I had it on but was not always watching. I also turn it off usually after 9-10 because I am on the PC. Everyone else in the house usually watches in there rooms. But in reality I don't care if I have to replace the bulb once a year...I love a 106" 16:9 screen scooter ---------------- Scooter, Where did you purchase your Infoucus 4805? And how much did it cost. I seen an Infocus Projector on the HSN that went for $1300, screen included.

If I were to consider a powered sub just for music, and wanted to keep it super small and inconspicuous (maybe a 8" or 10" sub max), not to thump the bass, but just to fill in IF needed, do you guys have any recommendations? No Klipsch subs thank you. ---------------- Carver Audio Knight Shadow is a great sub. You will not be disappointed and it won't hurt your pockets either.

I've been floored by the sound, so live and real sounding than any thing I ever heard. I can't imagine the new line could surpass it because it just doesn't seem like you could get any better than that RF-7 already is. My question is this, it's a 2-way system and the new line will be a 3-way system. If the RF-7 is only 2-way, does this mean that the horn on it does both the tweeter and mid-range horn work all on one horn? Should I wait for the 3-way if the performance will be better on the separate horns for the tweeter and mid? I just don't understand the 2-way vs. 3-way thing means? Thanks for any help. Kathy ---------------- I'm not sure about the new Premier Line. But the difference between a 2-way and 3-way speaker is purely up to the listener. Yes the Midrange on a 2-way speaker acts as a mid and a tweeter. 3-way seperates the two signals, 2-way combines them, now you decide which sounds better.
  11. Does anyone know where i can purchase 1 grill for klf-20
  12. Sorry, my mistake. I'll try to have a sense of humor

In fact rebuilding the crossovers with premium parts in Trey's case will probably make them sound worse LMAO !!! Your turn Trey old buddy Craig ---------------- Craig, You make it sound like my Speakers are crap. I couldn't more pleased with their performance. I especially love my SS Amps. If you are partial to Tubes that's cool, but don't hate my system. I fairly new to the audio/video hobby so I'll probably make some mistakes on what I buy, what I say and whose opinion/advice I listen to. Guys like you give this forum a bad name. You and Trey can go play with yourselves in someone eles's thread
  14. I guess this question is meant for Dean G. How much to rebuild my crossover for a pair of 20's and 30's? Is this going to make a considerable musical difference?
  15. I too would like to know how much it cost to rebuild your crossovers?
  16. I used to run two center channels and i heard no audible difference. I ran a Y splitter out of my receiver and into a 2 channel amp. I was very pleased with the results.
  17. I'm so glad to read a post from a SS user! I could not be happier with my amps (Kenwood Basic M2A 220 per channel)the best 2 channel I've ever owned. I've had the Adcom 5303 3 channel, 200wpc, and i've owned the acurus MCA5 200WPC 5 Channel amp. For some reason the older SS Amps sound much better than the newer ones.
  18. I would change from the SB2's to SB3's and get the KSW-12 Subwoofer. You will probably want to replace those Boston A's and get the KSB1.1's or the surrounds that match the Synergy series. Trust me you will not disappointed
  19. Does satelite have a better picture than cable? HD or standard?
  20. I would like to know if all lcd, dlp, plasma tv's are digital? I have a friend that is telling me that they are all digital, except crt. Regardless of the resoultion that the lcd, dlp, plasma display he says that they are all digital tv's because of the circuitry. True or False. Any information on this subject is greatly appreciated.
  21. I recently purchased a pair of klf-20's. One of which has a 1/4 inch scratch that runs the length of the speaker. They are black, i also have a pair of klf-30's they are mahogany. I would to paint the 20's mahagony, any suggestions are appreciated. If it is not possible for me to paint the 20's mahogny, what would be the best way to repair the 20's? (paint, spray paint or what?)
  22. Just called Klipsch Parts dept. for jumpers to connect the HF and LF on my Klf20's. I was informed that they didn't have them and were not able to get them. Does anyone know of a remedy for my problem?
  23. I have the Yamaha rxv-800 a very good receiver. I listen to 2 channel music with the sub on. A lot of your new cd's have LF notes on them that cannot be played or heard from your main speakers. I guess it just depends on your receiver, whether or not you can turn the sub off. On my receiver you can switch so the sub won't be heard.
  24. I have owned my 30,s for 3 years now. I recently heard a banging noise from 1 speaker. I thought the woofer might have been blown, so I took the woofer out and it was in perfect condition as soon as i put it back in the noise came back. I only hear it when i play it at high volumes. My conclusion is that the back panel is coming loose. So I played it loud and held pressure against the back panel and the noise disappeared. When i let go of the panel the noise came back. Does anyone know how I can repair this without sending it out for repairs.
  25. Yes, I,m refering to component video cables that transmit 3 seperate colors.
