GeorgeV
I auditioned this CDP on the weekend and it sounded amazing. I have never heard of Shanling products before and I was wondering if anyone who owns one of their products could give me a review. Thanks. delano
Good Evening, I have owned the Shanling tube cd-t80 for about 6 weeks now and it continues to impress. Even right out of the box it sounded great. I have it hooked up to a Shanling STP-80 tube integrated amp and a pair of heresy II's. I am very impressed with Shanling's build quality and sound. The cd player has tube outputs and it upsamples as well. I have done an a/b comparison with my sacd player and it is pretty damn close, close enought that I don't bother that much with sacd's anymore. the Shanling is pretty reasonable as well. I paid about $1100.00 Canadian for it which works out to $100.00 American LOL. It is a great player for a good price. Good Luck Delano
GeorgeV
Delano, Did you purchase the equipment from Audio Empire? Harley mentioned that someone had brought in their Heresy II's to demo it. Thanks for the review.
delano
Hi George, Wow, what a small world. I just noticed that you are in Toronto as well. Yes I did buy my stuff from Harley at Audio Empire but it wasn't me who brought in my speakers. I have bought all my stereo equipment from Harley since my University days (1990). My first pair of klipsch were purchased there (kg4's) and I refuse to shop anywhere else. Harley of Audio Empire is the most honest person I have ever met in the HiFi world. He does not try to sell you the most expensive only what is best for you. Delano
