I26
I have been running a 4.2 setup for over 4 yrs now with no troubles. I noticed that in the last few months the one sub clips in and out here and there. The sats run great but the one sub does give grief. It only clips out for a brief second here and there. Could it be a dying soundcard? I have been overclocking my system for quite sometime. I cannot lock the agp/pci bus speeds while doing this so my sound card is actually running at 36MHz instead of 33MHz which can cause stuff to die prematurely. Any thoughts on the problem?
craftsman
Just connect another source - a CD player - to your speakers and see if they clip. It could be that one of your subs have blown.
I26
But the sub plays great when it is not doing this. It thumps just as good as the other sub in the setup. A blown sub would do nothing right??
doudou
i don t think overclocking the sound card of 3mhz can damage the sound card.i ve done this and my sound card is style alive. make the test craftsman advices to you. you will know if it s the computer or the speakers. it can also be because of some poor quality media(not well encoded mp3,...), or a wire not well plugged.
