RM1111
Just wondering how hard is it to change out a 8" cone in a speaker tower?
3dzapper
Rm if you mean the whole driver, it isn't hard at all. A few screws and two clip on leads. Replacements should be available from Klipsch parts at:1-800-554-7724 Rick

DrWho
You can also change out just the speaker cone itself...you can even replace the surrounds and the voice coil independantly as well. It really is a lot cheaper than buying a whole new driver, but the downside is the amount of work involved. It took me a few hours to rebuild my first driver. 20 minutes the second time. The third time it took me 30 minutes, but it didn't work the first try and I had to start over again. You can always buy kits online (depending on the specific driver) for under $100...my first two kits were $20 each (including the glue). My third kit cost me $60 when a new driver would cost me over $400. I think it's worth the extra effort, but then again I found it to be very fun. (kinda depressing though when you realize how simple the speaker design is).
