t-man
Ok guys, you just have to know that this is the most amazing CD to be listened to in 5 channel stereo (at least on my denon). Boa, you will love this!! ZZtop Eliminator or Greatest hits. You definitely have to hear "Got me under pressure" in 5 channel stereo. Crank it up, and be prepared to get rocked. I loved ZZtop as a kid, and collected all their albums (vinyl). Nice to know this old stuff sounds great on the new gear. Unbelievable. magnaman
ZZ-Top rocks but my favorite one in 5-channel has to be without a doubt would be Pink Floyd Money the one off the wall. I wonder if it is recorded in Quad. ART
Mike Lindsey
If anybody hasn't listened to "Seven Bridges Road" on the Eagles Hell Freezes Over DVD in DTS Format, you're in for a real treat (don't have DVD-Audio format). This is an Audio only track and you have to have a DTS decoder in order to listen to it. At reference levels it will knock you on your A$$! These guys are right there in your living room with you. Absolutely awesome stuff! boa12
t-man, oh yea. haven't picked up any zz on cd yet but still have tres hombres on vinyl. unfortunately my turntable is w/ the 2-channel sys right now. those 3 definitely do rock & keep it simple w/ 3 kinda like rush. along those lines one of my favs & recent test cd is Primus "Pork Soda". lots o' bass there from les claypool. of course the sub is the star for that so need to do some more checking for all-around 5-channel. lookin' close at that new denon 4802 for expansion to 6.1+ & prologic II. could prologic II on music be new competition for 5/7 channel stereo? could be interesting ------------------ Klipsch KLF 30 (front), KLF C7, Cornwall I (rear) Velodyne HGS-18 sub woofer Monsterbass 400 sub interconnect/Monster MCX-2 biwire & Z1 cable Marantz SR-8000 receiver Sony DVP-C650D 5-disk cd/dvd player Sony Trinitron 27" stereo tv Toshiba hi-fi stereo vcr Technics dual cassette deck Scientific Atlanta Explorer 2100 digital cable box Monster HTS1000 PowerCenter Boa's Listenin Lounge: Klipsch RF-3, RC-3 Monster MCX-1 Biwire Sony STR-DE935 a/v receiver Kenwood KR-9600 AM/FM stereo receiver (vintage 1975) Russound AB-2 receiver switch to RF-3 Teac PD-D1200 5-disk cd changer Technics SL-1950 turntable/AT LS500 cartridge rock on!
