I was originally drawn to the Quintet II, but I think I will outgrow them as soon as I get a house. I am stuck with the Synergy line (I work at a certain box store), and I am thinking of a pair of B2s, a pair of S2s and a C2 for the center. No sub for now as my budget is getting maxed and with neighbors on both sides, I couldnt really use it. So here are my questions; Is that a good setup? I might downgrade to the S1s, would that be a mistake? Also what receiver would be a good match? I am limited to a Yamaha 5740 or 5750 or a Pioneer 814. A Pioneer 1014 might be an option, but incase you havent noticed, I am on a budget Thanks! Scp53 Posted April 12, 2005 Share Posted April 12, 2005 maybe you want to consider a bass shaker? I have never dealt with them but others say there good for ht. Spkrdctr Posted April 12, 2005 Share Posted April 12, 2005 One very nice thing is that you are not "stuck" with the Synergy line. These speakers when setup properly are the best bang for the buck around. You get performance of other speakers that are twice the price. All in all, you will have a very nice home theater set up. I would also buy whichever reciever has the most bass managment built in. Everyone, including me likes to control the bass to each individual speaker, I don't know if any of those recievers offer that option or not. Good luck on your purchase! In lots of the treads people recommend the reference line which isn't an option. Thanks for all your input! Anyone have any advise on the surrounds, I could save $100 by going to the S1s instead of the S2s. Should I save the money or just keep everything matched the 2 level?
